How does the AutoBuy process actually work?
It's four steps. You tell us the car (trim, color, budget, timeline) on a ten-minute call. We canvas regional inventory and put dealers in competition for your business. You approve one clean, line-itemized out-the-door number — nothing moves until you say go. Then paperwork is handled remotely and the car is delivered, detailed and plated, to your driveway. You never set foot on a lot.
What does it cost, and when do I pay?
Three flat-fee tiers, quoted up front. Skip the Headache is $249 when you already know the car and the dealership — we negotiate that deal and get the paperwork ready so you just sign. The Hunt is $649 for sourcing and negotiation on a car you already know you want. Concierge is $999 for the whole search handled for you, including trade-in, test drives, financing options and delivery. No deposit and no obligation to start — you pay only when you decide to hire us, and we never take a cut of the sale or a dealer kickback.
How long does it take from first call to keys in my driveway?
The median is about 12 days for an in-stock, common vehicle. A precise, in-market car can land in under a week; a rare trim or a factory order naturally takes longer. After your intro call we give you a realistic timeline for your specific car before any work starts, and we keep you posted at every stage.
What if I already found a car at a dealership?
Perfect — that's exactly what the $249 Skip the Headache tier is for. Bring us the car and the store, and we'll review the numbers, question add-ons and junk fees, and negotiate the out-the-door price on your behalf. We line the paperwork up ahead of time so your visit is a signature, not an afternoon.
Do I have to pay or commit before I see a deal?
No. The intro call is free and there's no deposit. You review the deal we bring back and only move forward — and only pay — when you give the green light. If you don't love the number, you walk.
Can you handle a trade-in or financing?
Yes. On the Concierge tier we value your trade, shop it around for a stronger offer than the first one you're handed, and compare financing options across lenders alongside whatever the dealer proposes. You see every number before signing anything.
